I have produced a variety of newsletters, proposals, web pages and strategic plans from
information provided by clients. A few of these are described below.
Healthy Eating Nova Scotia (2005)
Healthy Eating Nova Scotia is the province’s
new healthy eating strategy, produced by the Nova Scotia Alliance for Healthy Eating and Physical Activity.
I wrote and did much of the research for this document under the direction of the
Healthy Eating Action Group.

Issues on the Policy Agenda (2004)
What Works! is a collection of stories about community organizations that have succeeded in getting their issues on the policy agenda.
The work was done for the Atlantic Regional Office of Health Canada's Population and Public Health Branch.

respond to their aging populations. The report was written for and produced by the

Reorganizing Stroke Care in Nova Scotia
was produced by the Nova Scotia Integrated Stroke Strategy Committee, through a collaborative,
trans-provincial team effort. My work consisted of guiding the team in the organization and
communication of their ideas, and weaving their numerous sections and drafts into a
cohesive report.
Preventing Diabetes in Atlantic Canada (2000)
Preventing Diabetes in Atlantic Canada is the report of an environmental scan on diabetes prevention
commissioned by the Population and Public Health Branch, Health Canada, to
support the implementation of the Canadian Diabetes Strategy.

An Annotated Bibliography on Indicators for the Determinants of Health (2000)
This annotated bibliography was developed
in the winter of 1999 for the Atlantic and Manitoba/Saskatchewan Regional Offices of the
Health Promotion and Programs Branch, Health Canada, as an initial step in developing a
system for assessing the impacts of their work. Although it was developed for internal use,
it has now been updated, revised and translated for public distribution.

Shifting Sands: Demographic and Economic Trends in Atlantic Canada and their Impacts on Seniors (1999)
Shifting Sands is a discussion paper
that reviews existing data on economic and demographic trends in Atlantic Canada and
speculates on the impacts of these trends on future generations of seniors.
It was produced for Health Canada and was written in collaboration with Joan M Campbell.
