Hi Bob and All
High winds and wires are a sure disaster for these
types of birds. A lot of birds like gannets and gulls
are made for long gliding flight not sharp turns.
The wires will not deflect the wind current enough to
carry the birds away from danger.
The Canso Causeway had a many effects - not all well
predicted.
Have a nice fall
Paul
