For anyone who is looking for background information on this genus with
photos (as I was), there is a nice brief discussion at the Wikepedia,

Evidently only the giant helleborine (E. gigantea) is native in North
America. The broad-leaved helleborine (E. helleborine) is European and
considered invasive in North America.
