This was my perspective: "As seen from... the side!?  I was up high  
looking across the Arm.   Maybe slightly from above."

Perhaps you didn't see my photos of the ants flying and that is why  
this isn't clear.  Please refer to my photo to see my perspective:

The ants were rising.  So I guess I started watching them a little  
from above... that is why I considered it to be counter-clockwise.
If you can't see my photo, I would be glad to email it to you  
personally.
