Index of Subjects In contrast to Heather's shrub, our Daphne in Clayton Park West is in full bud but no blossoms have yet appeared. Possibly another week...? I have often thought that our property at an elevation of about 110 m and some distance from the water may very well be in a different climatic zone than those on the Halifax Peninsula. Our outdoor thermometer usually registers a temperature of ~2 degrees C lower than that reported from the roof of the CBC building. On a more positive note, our Bleeding Hearts have now emerged from the ground. Those will be in blossom in another month. Which reminds me - lots of garden work to do so off I go!
