This afternoon I was in the woods near Bayers Lake and while walking along a path encountered hordes of flies. They were very small and there had to thousands in each cloud of them. In fact we walked thru them. Interesting experience. Just to let everyone know that my Daphne shrub is seventy five percent in full bloom. The buds had cracked their shells by last weekend and just needed this sunshine and warmth to open them. Anyone walking in woods , keep and eye out for them. They could be in any stand where there was long ago a house. Heather in Halifax
