Friends of McNabs Island Society McNABS and LAWLOR ISLANDS PROVINCIAL PARK BEACH CLEAN-UP Sunday, June 2, 2002, (rain date June 9) 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Depart for McNabs Island from Murphy’s on the Water, Cable Wharf in Halifax 10 a.m. Return from the island at 4:30 p.m. Bring work gloves, drinking water, a lunch and Enthusiasm! We will supply the garbage bags and FREE transportation to the island. Capacity on the boat is limited to 147 people, so First Come, First Served. Since 1991, 6,500 bags of garbage have been collected from McNabs and Lawlor Islands. This year, McNabs and Lawlor Islands will become a provincial park. Help to keep Nova Scotia's newest park clean!
