There will be an introduction by Elizabeth May, executive director of the Sierra Club of Canada. Show time is 7pm at the McMechan Auditorium of the Killam Library. Kevin Annett, former United Church minister, in a talk on the genocide perpetrated against Canada's aboriginal people. 7pm in room 224-226 of the Student Union Building at Dalhousie University. An artistic documentary featuring the reminisces of native and non-native elders including retired loggers, native sovereigntists, corporate forestry executives and long time activists. Thursday March 18, l999 "Conflict of Interests - Who owns Nova Scotia's forests?" A panel discussion featuring keynote speaker Kevin Thomas, founder of Friends of the Lubicon. Panelists also include Burnd Christmas, negotiator for Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi'Kmaq Chiefs, Kermit deGooyer of the Ecology Action Centre, Jim DeWolfe, PC Natural Resources critic and John MacDonell, NDP Agriculture critic. 7pm in room 105 of the Weldon Law Building at Dalhousie University. Moderated by Jane Cansas. Sponsored by the Nova Scotia Public Interest Research Group and the Aboriginal Law Students Association.
