A Public Forum - Which Way Should Metro Grow?

The annual DalTech Planning Module will take place March 10, 11 and 12.
The event will open with a keynote presentation March 10 at 7:30 p.m. in
Halifax Hall (City Hall). Frank Palermo, of the Department of Urban and
Rural Planning, will speak on Directions for Future Growth.

On March 11 and 12 the venue will be the F. H. Sexton Memorial Gym
building, Room J134 [DalTech] and will feature presentations and panel
discussions by recognized experts in economics, transportation,
environment, land development and urban planning, with opportunity for
questions and discussion among participants, speakers and panelists.
Morning sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and afternoon
sessions will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

On the evening of Thursday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m., a public workshop
sponsored by the Community Planning Association of Canada will provide an
opportunity to discuss the future of the region from many angles, while
exploring options for future growth. The Friday afternoon session will
conclude with a direction for involving the public and other stakeholders
in developing a strategic consensus for the future shape of the region.
