I've suggested before that the Slocal ierra Club should form a "transportation committee" to tackle issues like this. But we need bodies. Anyone interested? Now, a Metro Transit manager is warning council that deciding not to reduce service on some bus routes could mean eliminating others altogether. In his report to council released yesterday, Brian Taylor suggested the 83 Springfield, 15 Purcell's Cove, 21 Timberlea and 55 Port Wallace bus routes might be on the chopping block, leaving those communities with no service at all.
