Hi there, Join Violeta Perez for a discussion about the fight to change the current sweatshop conditions in the Dominican Republic. Violeta is a co-founder of "La Zonera", a group of inspiring women working for human and labour rights in the free trade zones of their country. She will be discussing the conditions that exist there as well as what can be done here. The talk, followed by a discussion will be held on Wednesday February 17, l999 at 7pm in room 224-226 of the Dalhousie Student Union Building. As the talk will be in Spanish, we have arranged for translation. This event is part of Canada-wide tour of La Zonera women. It has been organized by McMaster Public Interest Research Group and the Nova Scotia Public Interest Research Group at Dal. We hope you can attend.
