From: Carroll Armstrong <carrolla@cnova.net> I am an amateur genealogist in Middle Musquodoboit, N.S. I am very much aware of the interest of researchers in being able to access the out-of-publication 2vol. set of "MUSQUODOBOIT PIONEERS . . .") by the late Jennie Reid. I have contact with a family member and have taken it upon myself to gather suggestions as to how we might make this large collection of genealogical data and local history available in the public domain without re-publishing it. I knew Jennie personally, and she once told me she had no intentions of ever publishing it again, but in the spirit of true genealogists, wanted it to be freely available to all those who have an interest in history. The book has no index and is difficult to follow -- the manuscript is over 800 pages of typewritten text -- 2 pages per each legal-sized sheet. I know it would be much easier to search in electronic format. At this time, my only involvement is to gather suggestions and present them to the family; as far as I am concerned, the ultimate decision is theirs to make. I have seen some of the online documents presented via Chebucto and would welcome any suggestions you may have. Carroll Armstrong Middle Musquodoboit, N.S.
