Hi Carroll, Sounds like a fabulous project. I'm in the midst of my own genealogical research (Sumara family emigrated from Czechoslovakia in 1904), and know the importance of this to many people. I'm wondering if you have had contact with the Genealogical Association of Nova Scotia, and whether they have expressed any interest? (URL below) http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/Recreation/GANS/index.html CCN would be pleased to host the publication on-line, we would just need to find - someone to direct the project of turning it into a publicly-accessible document - either volunteers to do the technical work, - or funding to hire someone to do it The minimum effort involved would be to scan the 800 pages and publish the site as one big sequential text file. Easy, but a tedious first step. Any funding from Heritage Canada (do they still exist?). In any event, I'd be happy to continue a discussion with you around the possibilities.
