Hello Peter,

Thanks for writing in, and sticking with it.

The Council of Canadians (Atlantic Chapter) would make a wonderful
addition to our website... and as the Editor for the Community Support &
Development Area, I look forward to assisting you in any way possible.

Two quick replies to specific things you said:

- you do not need to dial-in to Chebucto
- you can FTP files directly into your organizational directory if you
already have internet access
- your pages can be hosted here easily
- virtual domain names are also available, should you wish to have that
convenience

Some of the confusion may have come from that fact that we recently
altered our process for registering new organizations.

For the time being, you should follow these steps:

go to: http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/services.shtml

Follow the link that says:

"How to sign up your non-profit group, or organization"

That will lead you to a description of the process. You will need to
print off the Neighbourhood Account User Agreement which is located at:

http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/Services/n_agree.html

Fill in the blanks, and send it to the Chebucto office at:

Chebucto Community Net
Room 125, Chase Building
Dalhousie University
Halifax, N.S.
B3H 3J5

Our office hours are Monday to Friday 1 pm to 4 pm. The Chase Building is
located at the end of Lord Dalhousie Drive, off Coburg Road next to the
University of King's College. Our office phone number is (902) 494-2449
and our fax number is (902) 494-1242.

Once the file has been processed, you will be contacted by the office to
move forward. If this does not happen in a timely fashion, please let us
know.

Regards,
Mark
