Perhaps David P. can refresh us on this but I seem to recall that
majordomo looks for command words (like subscribe & unsunscribe ) in the
first 10(?) or so lines of the message of an EMail and bounces such to the
list owner. Solution to this is to avoid such words in this part of the
body of a message.
