Hi folks... The Featured IP function of the welcome page is a 'partial' url in the form of: /Technology/HAPCS/index.html'> Halifax Area Personal Computer Club</a> The welcome page adds the front part... ie... <a href="http://chebucto.ns.ca On the welcome page when the IP Committee's turn comes around, this is rendered as: Featured IP! - [1] Halifax Area Personal Computer Club ----- The urls, an english and french if we care (and are able) to provide both are contained in separate files in file://localhost/csuite/info/Policy/Messages/ip/ currently... info/Policy/Messages/ip/hapcs.en and... info/Policy/Messages/ip/hapcs.fr The editing group for these files is fn-edit. <<***** ----- You'll notice that these files do not have a html or txt extension... Changing an IP involves changing (editing/replacing) these files. THE URL LABEL ("Halifax Area Personal Computer Club") SHOULD be relatively compact... we don't have enough space to run on here... and SHOULD be on one line in the file... urls that are split over two lines behave badly... ----- This is intended to describe the basic functionality... the possibility exist to develop this functionality into other areas or in other directions... I'll leave that to the IP committee, and simply ask that you work with this functionality for a few weeks before looking at changes... ----- I'm hoping that I'll have statistics sorted out before we flash it up for the main user body... cheers david potter
