Having got the classtable right, (thank you, John) our login messge (time guarantee) is now correct, and blackout works correctly, BUT timerd does not. No one is being logged off. Timerd creates an empty (1 byte) file in /tmp/timerd.glist. /var/csuite/log/timerd contains many lines like: Warned on ttyp5,elrond.pgfn.bc.ca at 1998-10-20 Warned on ttyp5,elrond.pgfn.bc.ca at 1998-10-20 ERROR: zap aborted for on ttyp5,elrond.pgfn.bc.ca at 1998-10-20 Note the gap where user should be.
