Monday, 24 July 2006After purchasing some provision at the store John and Ed cast off about 1030 and eventually sailed to windward tacking from the northern shore around New Harbour Island across to the southern shore off Grand John with some powering during a heavy rain spell in the early afternoon. A fresh WSW sailing breeze with improving visibility followed. On this day we saw more large whales at a distance, and a great variety of sea birds. |
