Peter had to catch a taxi-bus to the Trans-Canada early that morning. To help us out Eric was ready with his truck to drive the 10 miles out to the main road so Peter could meet the taxi there at 0830 along with his travel baggage. When Ed left him, Eric suggested that we should make a short day of it by visiting Long Bay.

John stayed with Concertina, and was soon meeting people who wanted to see the vessel. One older gentleman had fished on schooners from Lunenburg, and was delighted to see a schooner in harbour. He expressed some surprise when he learned that we intended to leave later in the morning, and offered his opinion that tomorrow might be a better day.
