For the last few years there has been a colony of up to about 20+ Turkey
vultures in Bridgetown. They can often be seen soaring over the town and
the surrounding area, and sometimes perched in trees right in the town. I
imagine it wouldn't be hard for them to range as far as Round Hill and
farther. Indeed I have often seen one or more over the 101, 1 and the 201
between Middleton and Annapolis Royal. I don't know why they favour
Bridgetown, but there is an abattoir there, and that might attract them. I
don't know of any evidence of nesting/ breeding, but I wouldn't be
surprised.
