Dear All, Sept 28, 2014
This year I left a somewhat wider than usual strip of Aster =
cordifolius along the SE side of the house for a total of about 100 sq =
ft. It is now about full bloom and yesterday, in late afternoon sun, it =
was swarming with 100-200 Honey Bees, most with huge loads of pollen, =
and an estimated 100 Bumble Bees.=20

These 'counts' are very rough estimates but no doubt much greater =
than one could expect to find on an equal area of manicured lawn grass.

Yt, Dave Webster, Kentville
