 Hi all,
I lost my story. darn it. I will have to repeat it here-=20

About 70 plus years ago, My springer spaniel tried to "retrieve" a =
beaver that was swimming in a small pond in NW Ontario. The dog circled =
the beaver about one revolution before the beaver grabbed the dog and =
pulled him under. About 10 or 20 seconds later my dog appeared - yelping =
and swimming for shore. It looked like the beaver bit several times and =
made a mess of the poor dog's shoulder area. It probably was not too =
severe as the wound healed OK without a vet being involved.

It took poor "Ike" more than a year before he had the courage to =
retrieve ducks again.=20

Paul.

A beaver attacking and biting a snorkeller, in saltwater, and a =
considerable distance from the shore? Was the culprit really a beaver? =
Any thoughts?
