Subject: [NatureNS] snow walk

Dear All, Jan 29, 2014
Yesterday I got out to North Alton for the first time in 68 days, just
to walk not work; snowshoes necessary.
In a former field area, now with blackberries, and adjacent mostly apple
& alder woodland there were good sign of Rabbit (Snowshoe Hare) & Ruffed
Grouse.with a smattering of Mouse tunnels, Deer tracks & Coyote tracks.
Woods further back had mostly Deer and Coyote tracks. The odd Maple and
Birch had been topped by the ice and many conifers were topped or bowed
over.
