Index of Subjects A Northern Shrike just made a surprise attack on a mixed mob of about 50 Chickadees, Goldfinches and Juncos plus on Purple Finch that had gathered for a Friday lunch at my feeder array and departed empty handed. Clawed? I wonder whether the intended victims reflected on W.S. Churchill's Boer War observation that "nothing is as exhilarating as being shot at without result." Mike
