Somewhere in my neighbourhood there is a hollow tree stuffed with black oil sunflower seeds. Of passing interest are semi regular Evening Grosbeaks, which have been rare in these parts last few years. A regular pair of Northern Cardinals with occasional juvenile; White Throated Sparrows; Song Sparrows; Black Capped Chickadees; a White Breasted Nuthatch; a pair of Northern Flickers; a regular male Ring Necked Pheasant and irregular female; Dark Eyed Juncos. Purple Finches. No American Goldfinches so far which is unusual. Also an abundance of Mourning Doves, The proliferation of this species in these parts amazes me.
