The Swallows have resumed nest building = and the Starlings have left for now but I=E2=80=99m sure they will be = back. It would be a simple matter to switch the front of the box = replacing it with one having a smaller hole but I=E2=80=99m afraid that = would chase the Swallows away. For now I am keeping a close eye on = things but I=E2=80=99m wondering if anyone has suggestions and/or the = dimensions of the horizontal oval hole often used for Swallow boxes. Kevin Lantz =20 ................................ Kevin, I took a couple twigs or popsicle sticks and just ever so = slightly made my oval port smaller, didn't even take the house down. = Swallows watched and even flew about my head and as soon as I moved they = went back to the house. Might work for you. Someone here mentioned = trying this to me and it has worked well.
