There was a flock of about 50=0Aat the end of a lake. The a= rea has a lot of swamp or flooded land and there is a lot=0Aof Canada Holly= there but the berries are pretty well gone. The robins were in the=0Ared m= aples and spruces at the edge. There has been a good flock in that area all= winter=0Athey were counted on the CBC. A change of habit for sure.=0AAnoth= er flock of 10 ( approx ) siskins flew over. They were high up in the trees= and very=0Aflighty. I soon found out why as a Red Tailed Hawk came sailing= by. A real dark individual=0Aand came down to roost in some spruce trees.= =0AThe brooks are opening and flowing at a nice level. One had a little tro= ut feeding in a run. Looked good!=0AAnother had 2 pairs of Black Ducks feed= ing in a run. Doing their tipping up thing. Must be stoneflies there=0Afor = them.=A0=0ALots of tracks in the little snow there was - rabbits, deer, squ= irrels and others that looked like some=0Amember of the mink family.
