Martha and I also did some of the stretch visited by John. It was
rather dead in fact. Only Jimtown had birds, including six terns,
likely Commons. There were also two dowitchers and a possible Marbled
Godwit, among other more routine shorebirds. I will go back to see if
I can confirm that Godwit. There was also a Merlin there, likely one
of the routinely-nesting local birds (for at least six years there).
