Index of Subjects A walk along the RR bed in Coldbrook in late morning found quite a few birds still singing including Catbirds, Phoebe (1), Yellow Warblers, C/S Warblers, Yellowthroats, Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Of particular interest were 8-10 singing Veeries along a 1 km stretch. It seems they have small territories! Except for Blackberry, all the flowering plants were yellow. Noted two Hawkweed species, Yellow Goats-Beard & Sow-thistle. Saw one brown Lep, probably a moth but no butterflies or odonates. Angus
