We haven't seen or heard any cardinals here at home for at least a week or 10 days, and I suspected our resident pair was nesting somewhere not far away. Yesterday evening Harold Forsyth heard one distantly in our direction from the Acadia Univ. Botanical Gardens. Also at the feeders, once again we have a big adult Norway rat. Also there was a red squirrel there today, and the rat chased the squirrel away from the burrows and feeders.
