Today was a beautiful day to paint new wainscoting outside @ my mothers,
Hillcrest Avenue, Bible Hill. As I was working away, I realized there was a
bird singing that I had never, ever heard before. I mentioned it to my
mother and sister, and "cardinal" ran through my mind, but I didn't think
much of it and kept painting.the odds of a cardinal were pretty slim!
Later, I was looking out the back window of her house. There is a fairly
large back lawn, bordered by a large copse of trees that runs behind the
houses.and what flits into my line of sight but a CARDINAL! I have never,
ever seen a cardinal and was too excited for words.needless to say, my
camera was home in Debert. My mother heard this bird calling all day today.
I ran out to the nearest open store and picked up a bag of black oil
sunflower seeds, got the feeders filled up, and told my mother to keep an
eye out for it. HOPEFULLY, it will stay! I told her I would be haunting
her yard in the weeks to come, with the hopes of getting a picture. Seeing
a cardinal was one of the main birds I hoped to see in my lifetime!
Awesome!!!
