Index of Subjects --Apple-Mail-30--106177026 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed; delsp=yes Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Greetings, Sad tidings indeed. I guess this must now put me in the category of an "oldster" but I do have many fond memories of Dick Brown with whom I spent a great deal of time at sea. He was, indeed, a wild character, fond in equal measure of rare seabirds and a good claret. The sea attracts many curious travelers, more at home on the bounding wave then on the rolling glen, and Dick fit right in amongst them. He'd taken part in many wild escapades and endured much wild weather. He seemed right at home out there amongst the ever changing motley crew in a way that he never seemed while land-bound. I hope they scatter his ashes on the sea ... RIP Dick, Chris On 2-Apr-10, at 9:26 PM, Richard Stern wrote: > Hi, > > Some of the "oldsters" in this group will no doubt have fond > memories of Dick Brown, who passed away this week, and whose > obituary is in today's Chronicle Herald.
