I just got back from Grand Pre where at about 12:15 I managed to see both
Sandhill Cranes. I could only see them from an angle because they were in a
little dip far back from the road, which made them hard to find. To get a
better view, I biked down Grand Pre Road a bit until I got to the first road
on the east side. From there I got much better view, however I still
couldn't get very close because they're so skittish.

On my bike ride back to Wolfville, I heard a Northern Cardinal calling right
where the dike ends at the tracks. I stopped to take a look at the cardinal
when I noticed there was a Northern Mockingbird sitting in the same bush.
I'm assuming this is the same bird reported on West Long Island Road.

Here are a few other species I saw while biking:

Rough-legged Hawk - 1 or 2

Red-tailed Hawk - 5

Bald Eagle - 2

Bonaparte's Gull - 1

Northern Flicker - 1

Savannah Sparrow - 2

Canada Goose - 50-60

Cheers,

Lucas
