Hi All;

As in previous years I've placed information regarding Nova Scotia's
Christmas Bird Counts on a web page for handy reference.=A0=A0 The
URL is:

http://tinyurl.com/ns-cbcs

As in previous seasons the first weekend (Dec. 19-20) promises
to be a busy one, but there are many counts from which to choose
throughout the three weeks of the CBC season.=A0=A0 If you know the
dates of some of the counts that have yet to report, please let me
know.

And there is an exciting new count, based in the Sheet Harbour area, and
including Taylor Head Provincial Park and Sober Island.=A0=A0 It
will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 22, and the compiler, James Cameron,
invites birders from the metro area, the Pictou area, and further afield,
to assist on what promises to be a compelling census.

And, as usual, I'll also be keeping track of the winter birds that are
sighted province-wide.=A0 This year I've expanded the table to include
all the species ever sighted in Nova Scotia during winter.=A0 Post
your sightings to NatureNS, and your rarities to the NS-RBA.=A0 Or you
can e-mail me directly, if you prefer.

The Winter Birds of Nova Scotia web page is:

Cheers, and good (winter) birding,
