There is indeed a great berry crop along this shore and on the adjacent hardwood slopes. If this area is a key stop-over location for feeding, the strong northerly's and northeasterly's of the past few days, combined with poor visibility, may have caused them to overshoot the area and force them to back track (reverse migration) against the wind.
