15 October 2009

I was showing some visitors around the scenic villages on the
Chebucto Peninsula, and while there was no opportunity for birding,
it was difficult not to notice the considerable activity among
migrants -- there were robins, sparrows, and Myrtle Warblers
everywhere. And at the main wharf in the Village of Prospect there
were two (at least) swallows, one Bank, and one immature Cliff.

I checked Prospect Village this morning (16th) but there was no sign
of the swallows, and other migrants were hunkered down in the wind
and wet, though still present, as revealed by their calls.

Cheers,

Blake
