  Yesterday=2C Sep 15=2C I walked Rainbow Haven beach=2C in the rain=2C for=
 my jellyfish survey.

I didn't find any Jellies but did see a few shorebirds. Several small group=
s=2C totaling

about 200 birds where seen. The largest percentage consisted of Semi-palmat=
ed

Plovers=2C but there was also a good turn-out of S.P.=2C & Least sandpipers=
=2C and a few=20

Ruddy Turnstones=2C Gtr Yellowlegs=2C Black Bellied Plovers and four Pector=
al Sandpipers.

  This is "my" beach=2C the closest to home=2C and I have visited many time=
s in the last 25

 years=2C in all weathers=2C at all times of the year. I have never been he=
re when there was

not at least one other person present=2C even in the most adverse condition=
s. This day=2C I

spent one and a half hours there=2C in sometimes heavy rain=2C and thought =
that I was going

to break this record. The rain slackened towards the end of my walk and sur=
e enough

a lady with her dog showed up just as I was leaving.

Cheers
