I've uploaded 32 recent photos to my Pbase for August 09. All of the photos have commentary attached so I need not repeat those comments here.

Of particular interest is my experience at Duncan's Reef with a Semipalmated Sandpiper that was in company with a bunch of Least Sandpipers. The interesting part was that the adult Semipalmated Sandpiper was the same size, perhaps a tad smaller, than the accompanying Least Sandpipers. This led me off on a "wild goose chase", until it was pointed out that my bird had webbing between its toes. No matter how long I bird I still forget to check the most basic details.

The lesson here is that don't go by relative size alone!
