Linda and I did our HFN "Butterflies" field trip yesterday, and it was 
remarkable for low numbers of butterflies. But, at one of our bird atlas 
sites a few days earlier, the butterfly numbers seemed to be about as 
usual. Apart from one species, numbers (and diversity) of moths at our 
outdoor light seem to be down as well.
