After being in Cape Breton for the past few days, I decided to check out the
Musquodoboit Trailways again in search of the "Mockingbird" my friend Kier
and I heard. Well, it turns out it wasn't a mockingbird but a chat. I
managed to both photograph and record it singing. It's been five days since
I last heard it sing, so I really hope it stays around longer. It has been
hanging out in the same small area right behind the baseball field on the
river side where a clearing almost reaches the river. It can be heard
singing from the parking lot and all the way past the bridge, so don't worry
about not finding it.
