Took a stroll along the RR bed this afternoon.
Heard what I thought was a Blue-headed Vireo singing at a distance.
Quite a number of Wood Frogs were quacking away in a fairly large
pond (Heard these first on the 10th at Palmeter Woods). A few Painted
Turtles were hauled out in the same pond. At the first bridge east
from Coldbrook (just before the fertilizer plant), an Eastern Phoebe
was singing in a croaky dialect. Didn't sound like the Phoebe that
was singing near our property on the 16th (~1.5 kms away).
