Last night around 9.40 pm, I opened my patio door for a breath of air and
was surprised to see a small animal eating bird seed by the out-door Xmas
tree. It was very dim in the tree lights but it seemed to be a small
squirrel but paler, shorter and wider than the usual red ones and it's eyes
seemed bigger. I presume it was a flying squirrel but didn't know they were
in this area or that they would be around on a winter night. I recall a
thread on this subject a year or so ago, but can anyone comment on this
small animal in coastal Queens County?
