Western Tanager is a candidate.BUT If the looks were not great or as =
you said it's a novice Don't rule out those some times confusing Over =
wintering Oriols.

Hope this helps
Tom K.

  Hello, hello...=20

Through a friend of a friend... they saw the Tanager in South End Hfx =
on Sunday. However, they claim it had wing bars. Having not seen this =
bird... is there anything about its winter colours that may make it look =
like wing bars?! I know its been solidly identified as a Summer, so =
this could just be a novices mistake. But... never hurts to ask.

  Cheers for now,
  Ann M.
