Join Ron O'Dor from the Biology Department at Dalhousie University for a presentation on marine life. Ron is currently Senior Scientist for the Census of Marine Life ( www.coml.org), a global ten-year initiative by over 2000 researchers from 80 countries. The aim of the project is to assess the diversity, distribution, and abundance of life in the oceans - past, present, and future. This presentation will give an overview of the project, and highlight important results. Holiday Social Our annual Members' Holiday Social will take place after tonight's talk. Please bring your sweets or savouries and non-alcoholic beverages to the usual meeting area. A subscription to The Halifax Field Naturalist would make a good Christmas gift! Bring your money or a cheque.
