Hi,

I have checked out a few local areas in the last few days. Over the weekend
I found the same birds as Judy Tufts at Canard Pond (about 150 G-W Teal, 6+
N.Pintail, 3 Gadwall etc. etc.), and a nice adult LBB Gull by the roadside
at Fred Thomas Rd. There were 9 adult M.Hooded Mergansers and ~100 Canada
Geese at Silver Lake. Today I popped over to Windsor Sewage Pond late this
afternoon, where there were about 200 Dunlin, a few Sanderling, Bl-B.Plovers
and un-ID Peeps (probably Semi. Sandpipers) + a few G-W Teal and about 8
Am.Wigeon. On the way back there were 4 more N.Pintail at a small roadside
pond in Lockhartville, close enough to photograph (I'm not sure if it's the
same pond John Belbin mentioned), and 13 Hooded Mergansers (only 1 was an
adult M.) and a GBH aat the New Minas Connector pond. Several Red-tails and
Bald Eagles about - winter numbers are starting to build up. Lots of Robins
around as well.

Richard
