A friend, Leslie Buckland-Nicks, alerted me to a white egret that she found
at the Antigonish Landing yesterday. Ironically, I was scheduled to lead a
field trip there for the Canada World Youth participants today, so would
have encountered it anyway. We did find it (a Great Egret), just south of
the north lookoff, and I got to explain to the group about reverse migrants
and a few other interesting things.
