Hi all
I made a brief trip to Waterside PP late in the afternoon at high tide. There were only 2 shorebirds in the abundant seaweed: a Greater Yellowlegs and a Willet- likely western with broad wing stripe- alas no camera with me. There were 55 Red-throated Loons at the east end of the beach best seen by walking up to the rocks below the headland there. A good number still had red throats maybe about 25% were a couple still in full alt. garb. There were 150 or so Red-breasted Mergansers as well as 100 or more Bonaparte's Gulls all feeding in the area were the loons were.
cheers
Ken
