We replaced our =20 oil-fired forced air system with an electric thermal storage furnace. =20= Several benefits: a) no annual burner tune up. b) no oil tank to replace. c) house insurance went down by $20 per month due to all electric heat Our electric bill for the 12 month period from Aug 2007 to July 2008 =20 was $1609 including hot water. We also spent $7100 on insulation after having an energy audit done, =20 and got $1500 back from the province and $2400 from the federal =20 government. (you won't get the federal one any more as the =20 conservatives canned the program.)
