A juvenile Yellow-crowned Night-heron was found by Robin Anthony this =
morning (Sun. Aug 24) in a pond alongside the Brooklyn Shore Road in an =
area called Clam Flats. The bird was photographed from the road this =
morning but later Peter Davies and I had to walk towards the ocean to =
view the bird on the backside of the pond. The pond where the bird is =
feeding is just east of Mt. Pleasant Road in Brooklyn. There is a small =
pull-off alongside the road and from there a path leads to the ocean. =
The pond is just beyond the pulloff on the right.
