It is fairly comprehensive regarding showing important groups, and the Latinized names can be found listed by page just before the index at the back. Also there are lots of colour pictures of caterpillars, which are big bonuses. Also get hold of the Halifax Field Naturalists checklist of Nova Scotia butterflies (by Linda and Peter Payzant), which is a bit dated now but still current (and I think there is an up-to-date Web-site kept up by the Payzants?).
